Choose the public channel that matches the record stage. A county roster result, a court file, and a state or federal custody result each answer different questions.

  • For current county custody or a very recent county-jail booking, use the official Blue Earth County Custody Roster. The county advises that an entry can take up to 24 hours after a booking number is assigned.
  • For an existing booking record, report, or photograph request, contact the Sheriff Records Division and identify the person, approximate date, and record sought. The county's Data Practices process governs the request.
  • For a person in state prison custody or under Minnesota DOC supervision, use the MN DOC public locator. It is not a substitute for a Blue Earth County booking search.
  • For the later court case, hearings, or public court documents, search Minnesota Court Records Online (MCRO) by name or case number. Online access has published limits.
  • For separate federal or immigration custody systems, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons inmate locator or the ICE detainee locator. Neither establishes that a person was booked into the Blue Earth County Jail.
